Gwen Stefani is a unique performer with an amazing fashion sense. Best known from her success through No Doubt, she also regularly collaborates with other artists such as Eve, plays Leonardo Di Caprio's girlfriend in the forthcoming Hollywood epic, 'The Aviator' and Gwen is now launching her own solo career.
 Her diversity as an artist is expressed in her fashion sense. Gwen Stefani doesn't just do fashion - she is fashion. She mixes pieces from thrift stores and designers with vintage. She's a big fan of labels and logo wear, and enjoys wearing a garment or two with a top designer's name plastered all over it.
Gwen has recently been quoted in the Times Newspaper as citing her grandmother as her sartorial inspiration. "I used to make corset-style drop-waists with a cheerleader skirt. Underneath I wore my boxer shorts, fishnets and Dr Martens."
The key to getting Gwen Stefani's look is to only expose one asset at a time. So, if you are showing off your legs in a threaded mini, don't team it with a bikini top, but instead wear it with a fitted shirt and masculine tie. If your flat stomach is your best asset (lucky you!), wear a bikini top with military trousers and a thick chunky disc belt.
Accessories are key for this look. Gwen is a fan of ties and ribbons worn around her neck or waist, chunky belts, cuffs on the wrist and leg warmers worn around both the ankles and on her arms! It's all about being quirky and unique and accessorising to stand out.
Gwen is an ambassador for fishnets! Team a corset and layered chiffon skirt (again, very hot this season especially worn under denim skirts), with some chunky boots and fishnet tights. Finally, wear your hair in loose curls or a spiky chignon. Line your eyes with a thick black kohl liner and black mascara and paint your lips in a deep red for her trade mark 1950's glamour look.
